Wisma Claret, Yogyakarta, Indonesia – The Major Superiors of Asian Claretian East (ASCLA East) gathered for its annual meeting last February 22–24, 2012. In attendance were Fr. Sabu George, CMF (Indonesia-Timor Leste Independent Delegation), Fr. Marcelli Fonts, CMF (East Asia Independent Delegation), Fr. Vicente Lee, CMF (Independent Delegation of Korea) and Fr. Leo M. Dalmao, CMF (Philippine Province).
The superiors discussed matters concerning the apostolate and formation, particularly the regional meeting of those Claretians who are tasked to handle the missionary priorities of the congregation in their respective organisms; meeting of Brothers in the region; evaluation of the ASCLA-East Formators’ Encounter last January 2012; updates on China mission of the East Asia Delegation; and other concerns.
Part of the annual meeting was having dialogue with the theology students wherein the superiors shared the respective life and mission of the different ASCLA –East organisms. They were also able to visit the Claretian Sisters (Religious of mary Immaculate – Claretian Missionary Sisters) and the new lot purchased by the Indonesian Independent Delegation to help in their daily sustenance.
