CLARETIAN COMMUNICATIONS FOUNDATION, INC launched its latest title “Reimagining the Sacred: A Fresh Approach to Prayer, Liturgy and the Sacraments” by Michael Demetrius H. Asis on September 28, 2012 at the Leong Hall Roof Deck at the Ateneo De Manila University.
“Reimagining the Sacred: A Fresh Approach to Prayer, Liturgy and the Sacraments” is a well- researched but highly readable book wherein Dr. Asis translates some of the up-to-date, critical scholarship in liturgical and sacramental theology into more practical, relevant, and pastoral pedagogical principles and methods that can address a wider, non-specialized readership. He takes up current theological scholarship and pushes it a step further by creating a teaching paradigm that can help modify the mindset and misunderstandings of many Catholic Filipinos regarding the place and meaning of the sacraments in their lives—all in view of a more informed, vibrant, communal, inculturated, and ethically-oriented liturgical life in the Philippines.
Dr. Asis is an Associate Professor at the Ateneo de Manila University. He holds a Ph.D. in Theology from the Loyola School of Theology.
“Reimagining the Sacred: A Fresh Approach to Prayer, Liturgy and the Sacraments” is available at the Claretian Bookstore at 8 Mayumi St., U.P. Village, Diliman, Quezon City and at all Claretian outlets at PHP195.00 only. For inquiries and bulk orders, call (+632)921-3984 or e-mail: cci@claret.org.
