First Claret Fiesta in Montalban

Rodriguez, Rizal – As the whole Claretian congregation celebrated the feast day of its founder, Wednesday, October 24, 2012, a Christian community in the relocation site in Southville 8B, Rodriguez Rizal organized by CUPA under the directorship of Bro. Nicer Natulla, CMF, chose to celebrate St. Anthony Mary Claret as patron saint of their community. Different activities were held by the said Christian Community to enliven the celebration. Novena masses were celebrated from October 15 to 23. On the last day of the Novena, a procession of the image of Saint Anthony Claret, barrowed from Claret Seminary was held around the village. It had been a beautiful procession well attended by the community.
On the Feast day, October 24, 2012, a Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr. Eduardo Ricaborda, CMF was celebrated. After the mass, 13 children that were baptized. Meals were offered to the visitor friends and partner organizations of CUPA. A program prepared and facilitated by the Christian Community leaders was held in the evening. A fund raising raffle draw intended for the partner women organization of CUPA “Kababaihan Kabalikat sa Pangkalahatang Pag-unlad” (KKPP) was also held aside from the singing and dance contest. Pastoral care volunteers of Philippine Orthopedic Center were invited as judges of the contest.
