The first day of the XV Provincial Chapter of the Claretian Missionary Philippine Province started with a Bible Enthronement at 8:00 o’clock in the morning led by Fr. Alex Gobrin, cmf, Fr. Santiago Gonzales, cmf and Fr. Kevin Mark Rendor, cmf a suitable way of reminding the Chapter members of their Claretian charism as Listeners and Servants of the Word.
It was followed by a recollection facilitated by Fr. Henry Omonisaye, cmf (the Chapter President). The Recollection focused on the need, the process and the criteria of Discernment especially in a Chapter setting. He drew the criteria for discernment from the biblical, the magisterium and the Claretian sources. He invited the members of the chapters to discern properly for the future of the province. The morning recollection ended with the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the Chapel.
The afternoon session opened at 2:00 pm with the inaugural session of the Chapter. Where the message of the Superior General to the Chapter was read by Efren Limpo, cmf, the provincial secretary.
With the reading of pertinent directives coming from the Constitutions and Directory in conducting a chapter, Fr. Efren Limpo was elected as chapter secretary and Fr. Alex Gobrin, cmf and Fr. Mau Ulep, cmf were designated as moderators of the chapter. The various tasks under the supervision of the president was announced by Fr. Henry and as follow:

Then the provincial secretary, Fr. Efren gave a presentation of the Provincial Government Report specifically tackling on basic statistics, governance, formation, spirituality and Apostolate. Fr. Dennis Tamayo, cmf the Provincial Econome reported on the economic status of the province comprehensively.
The day’s session closed at 6:30 PM with a Eucharistic Celebration presided by Fr. Henry and the Provincial Council.
