Claretian Publications East Africa is based in Kimara a suburb of Dar es Salaam. Its main activity is the publication of the ‘Bible Diary’, an initiative born in Latin America that has spread to other parts of the Congregation.
Claretian Publications currently publishes over 60,000 copies of the ‘Bible Diary’ in Swahili (for Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya.) In addition to these, it publishes several thousand more in English and Shona (the language of Zimbabwe.) It also publishes catechisms in Swahili used by many parishes in the area.
It has also created the Claretian Centre of Communications which is at the moment an outlet, not only for publications but for other liturgical or religious materials.
The immediate project is the preparation of a site for the Publisher and for the Communications Centre, to publish the ‘Bible Diary’in other African languages, and to publish the Bible in Swahili.
So Claretian Publications becomes a clear manifestation of our Claretian commitment to spread the Word using every possible means.
